Remembrance Day at New Forest Crematorium

New Forest Crematorium is inviting local people to visit on Sunday 13 November when it is opening up its chapel between 10.45am and 12.15pm for Remembrance Day.

A two-minute silence will be observed at 11am as a mark of respect and the rest of the time reflective music will be played in the chapel.

New Forest Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, the UK’s largest owner and operator of crematoria and cemeteries, with 37 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, tranquil places for people to visit and reflect.

Site Manager Graeme Horobin said: “Remembrance Day is a time when so many people pause to think about all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

“Our peaceful and tranquil site is a fitting place for people to visit and make their own remembrance. All are welcome.

“We wanted to do something for Remembrance Day as part of our continuing efforts to play a positive role in local community life and to engage with the people who live in the area surrounding our beautiful site.”
